Our purpose.

Our purpose.

We believe in equality. We believe in progress. We believe in the future, which is now. By creating new cultural and social norms, our employee affinity group, Women at ME, empowers women to thrive in and out of work.

Women at ME encourages education and freedom of speech, and ensures the doors to success are open to every woman.

It’s up to ME to champion our female talent; to help them excel and shape not just our culture and values, but our business results, too.

What Women at ME means to us.

What Women at ME means to us.

At ME we strive to achieve equality in everything we do; to help all Australians get ahead. We’re coming into an exciting time in history where the world expects equal opportunity – we notice its absence and celebrate its presence. But there’s always more we can do.

Women at ME was set up by our people to address inequality in the workplace, educate women about finance, and help to provide a safe and inclusive environment for all. I’m proud to be a woman, proud to celebrate our diversity, and proud to be the Executive Sponsor of Women at ME.

From community meetings to International Women’s Day and ME’s popular ‘She-shirts’ worn by our ever growing supporter network – both women and men – I’m proud of our progress and excited for the opportunities to come with #WomenatME

Meet some of our team.

Connie Marketing Planning Effectiveness Manager

“I grew up among strong, amazing women. My brilliant mother taught me to speak up, ask questions and learn, learn, learn! My smart, vibrant sister demonstrates everyday what it means to dig deep, be resilient, to love and to live. Girlfriends have lifted me and laughed with me. These are the women who have supported, guided and shaped me. So when there was an opportunity to be part of Women at ME – a group dedicated to empowering women to thrive and excel, I jumped right in.”

Alison Chief Information Security Officer

“I started working at ME in a part time capacity earlier this year. I was really impressed by the bank’s openness to flexible work arrangements. I am supported and accepted as a part-time employee and it feels good to not have to choose between a challenging, interesting career and my family. Both are so important in supporting a diverse and inclusive workforce.”

-Alison, Chief Information Security Officer

Janaya, AML Officer

“When I started at ME over six years ago, I noticed right away how important diversity and inclusion is to the bank. I'm proud to be part of a group that helps provide a strong voice and continued feedback within this space. I think the best part of being with Women at ME is finding a supportive and nurturing environment that looks to address important issues around gender, education and opportunity. I look forward to seeing what's next for our continued development with an amazing group of members and allies!”
