ME announced today a $20,000 donation to the Australian Red Cross to support relief efforts after thousands of people were killed and injured when a 7.9 magnitude quake struck Nepal on Anzac Day.
ME’s donation on behalf of customers and staff will assist the Australian Red Cross distribute front line emergency aid including emergency shelter, relief items, safe water and sanitation.
“We have been deeply moved by the scale of human suffering, pain and loss,” said ME Group Executive Industry Affairs, Tony Beck.
“We recognise our responsibility to provide some measure of assistance to help people of this region recover and rebuild from this horrific event.”
