ME today announced the appointment of Adam Crane as its new Chief Finance Officer.

The announcement follows Chief Finance Officer, Gary Dickson’s decision to finish up at ME at the end of June 2019 after 6 years at the bank.

He will take up the role on 19 August 2019.

Adam has extensive experience across the banking and financial services industries.

His more than 25-year career has included stints across a broad range of operational areas, always driving change, improvement and innovation.

During 7 years at ANZ Banking Group Adam worked across areas including e-commerce, strategy, credit, and analyst roles.

At Suncorp he spent 13 years working in senior e-commerce and strategy roles including as Acting Chief Financial Officer of Suncorp’s Life and Wealth Management business.

Adam comes to ME from Indue where he has worked as the Chief Financial Officer since 2016.

Indue is owned by 18 credit unions and provides financial payment products and settlement services to the public and private sectors. It employs over 150 people and has revenues of $90m. Adam was 2IC to the CEO, and had full accountability for the end to end finance and treasury function as well as operations.

Adam has a bachelor of commerce, accounting and finance at James Cook University, an MBA from Queensland University of Technology and is a CPA.

ME CEO, Jamie McPhee, thanked Gary for his contributions and welcomed Adam to the role.
