What does ‘AH transaction’ mean?

If you’re ever checking your account in the small hours of the morning, you might come across a mysterious transaction entry reading ‘AH transaction’. What’s that all about?

The entry shows the total transactions made on your account during the time it takes our system to back itself up overnight. The backup doesn’t take long, but occasionally you might have a few transactions come through during it.

As soon as the backup is all done, your ‘AH transaction’ entry is replaced by the individual transactions and their descriptions.
