You can permanently cancel your card on the spot in the app or internet banking, and we’ll send out a replacement.

You can add your replacement ME debit card to Apple or Google Pay™ before the plastic arrives, using your mobile app. For your credit card, you will need to wait until your new card arrives in the post so that you can accept the terms and conditions first.

Mobile app

Cancelling your card is a cinch using the app, and we’ll sort a replacement card for you at the same time.

  1. Log in to the mobile app.

  2. Tap the  ‘Cards’ symbol on the bottom menu bar.

  3. Tap ‘Cancel and replace’.

  4. Let ME know if this card was either lost, stolen or retained by ATM and the date you last saw it

  5. Tap ‘Next’.

  6. Hit ‘Yes’ to confirm. Your card is now cancelled, and a new card will be sent to your address.

Internet banking

How to permanently cancel your card online:

  1. Log in to internet banking.

  2. Click on ‘cards’ in the top menu, and select ‘stop or replace your card’.

  3. Click the ‘choose a card’ box, and then select the card you want to stop from the list.

  4. Once you’ve selected a card, you can click on the ‘card details’ option that appears to see more information about the card you picked – make sure it’s the right card.

  5. Click the ‘I need this card to be’ dropdown box and select ‘cancelled’ to permanently cancel the card and automatically order a new one. Then let ME know if this card was either lost, stolen or retained by ATM and the date you last saw it.

  6. Click ‘continue’ and check the details.

  7. Click 'confirm' to complete cancelling your old card and ordering a replacement. Your new card should arrive in 7 to 10 business days.
