If you suspect you've been scammed, contact ME immediately before taking any further action. This means our Fraud and Scams team can act quickly to secure your accounts and guide you through the next steps.

A fraud specialist will confirm the details of your report to fully understand the situation and may block access to your accounts to stop criminal activity.

To safeguard your accounts, we may ask you to have your device professionally cleaned by a reputable technician if malware or viruses are suspected. This step may involve a cost but is essential to prevent further risks.

- 0:05 Here are the three most common scams impacting me bank customers.
- 0:09 Bank impersonation scams are when scammers contact you pretending to be your bank over the phone or by text to try and get you to share your personal or financial information.
- 0:20 It's common for these scammers to screw for mimic your bank's number, making it look like calls and texts are legitimate.

5 security features that make your mobile banking safer

- 0:08 To protect your information and accounts against unauthorised access, we use Multi Factor authentication, or MFA.

- 0:25 And then something you are, such as your fingerprint or Face ID, that's the second factor.

If you have received any type of communication that seems suspicious, it’s important to:
1. Stop: Do not provide any banking details, passwords or sensitive information.
2. Check: If you are unsure if you are receiving a suspicious message, you can contact us to verify.
3. Delete: Hang up, block any suspicious phone numbers and delete emails and texts that are suspicious.
