Temporarily locking a card
If you’ve misplaced your card (pro tip: check your jacket pockets) you can temporarily lock it until it turns up again, and you can do it yourself in seconds, using internet banking or the app – and unlocking it is just as easy.

Mobile app
Temporarily locking your card is a cinch using the app – here’s how it’s done.
- Log in to the mobile app
- Tap the ‘Cards’ symbol on the bottom menu bar
- Swipe to select which card you’d like to temporarily lock
- Toggle the ‘Lock’ button on
If you find your card under a couch cushion, you can unlock it in the app too:
- Tap the ‘Cards’ symbol on the bottom menu bar
- Swipe to select which card you’d like to temporarily lock
- Toggle the ‘Lock’ button off
Internet banking
Here’s how to put a temporary lock on your misplaced card:
- Log in to internet banking
- Click ‘Cards’ in the top menu, and select ‘Lock or replace your card’
- Select the relevant card and choose the option to temporarily lock your card
- Select ‘Continue’ and then ‘confirm’
If your card turns up, you can unlock it online instantly:
- Log in to internet banking
- Click ‘Cards’ in the top menu, and select ‘Activate card’
- Select the relevant card and click ‘Activate card’
- Click ‘Confirm’ to reactivate your card. We’ll send an SMS to your phone so your card can’t be activated by anyone else. Hit ‘Get SMS’ and check your phone
- Enter the SMS code and click ‘Done’

Call us and we’ll put a temporary lock on your misplaced card – you’ll just need to let us know once you’ve found it again.
