Need to pay someone, or move cash to a non-ME account? No problem – it’s easy to get it done using internet banking, the mobile app or a Direct Credit Request.

Remember that transfers between banks can take up to 3 business days depending on when the transfer is made - it can take a little longer when transfers are made late in the day, on weekends and public holidays.
You can change your daily transfer limit, up to a maximum of $20,000. To make a payment of more than $20,000, use the Direct Credit Request form.

Mobile app

Here’s how to get your money to where it needs to be:

  1. Log in to the mobile app.

  2. Tap Payments menu button’Payments’ in the bottom menu bar.

  3. Tap ‘Pay anyone’

  4. Select the account you would like to move the money from.

  5. Choose who you want to pay from the list, or hit the + in the top corner to add a new payee. You can find instructions for saving an new payee here.

  6. Tap the word Amount and use the keyboard to enter the amount you want to move. You can also choose to add a description for your records by tapping on the word Description

  7. Make sure the details are correct, then click ‘Pay’ to view your receipt.

Internet banking

Here’s how to get your cash sent:

  1. Log in to internet banking.

  2. Click ‘Pay & transfer’ in the main menu and choose ‘Pay anyone’.

  3. Choose the account you’re transferring from, and put in your transaction details. (If you’re sending money to an account for the first time, you’ll need to add the new payee details.)

  4. If it’s your first time paying this biller, there’ll be an extra security step at this point – just hit ‘get SMS’, check your phone for your confirmation code, enter that code, and hit ‘done’ to finalise your payment.

Direct Credit Request ($20,000+)

To transfer more than $20,000 to an external bank account, for security, you'll need to:
  1. Download and fill out a Direct Credit Request form 
  2. Email the form back to us at (electronic signatures on the form are acceptable)
  3. Before we can make the transfer, we will call you and confirm the details on the form.
  4. Once we’ve spoken to you, we will make the transfer you requested. Requests received before 3pm Melbourne time will be processed the same day.
