There are a number of ways you can make deposits:
1. Salary Payments
The easiest way is to have your salary/income credited directly to your account. You will need to advise your Payroll department of your new account details.
2. Online Banking
Use ME Online Banking to transfer funds from an internal account or a nominated external account.
Alternatively, you can transfer funds from non-ME financial institutions into your ME Everyday Transaction Account by using the institution’s own online transfer system. You will need your BSB number 944 300 and your ME Everyday Transaction Account number.
3. Deposit Cash
Cash can be deposited at any Australia Post office displaying the Bank@Post™ symbol. All transactions made at Bank@Post require your card and PIN.

On the back of the cheque, write the account number you would like the cheque paid into.
Cheques must be made payable to either the cardholder depositing the cheque or to ME.
Once your cheque has been deposited into your account, please allow three to five working days for the funds to clear.
ME is unable to accept foreign currency cheques.
5. Regular Automatic Payments
Set up a regular automatic electronic deposit from another account into your Everyday Transaction Account. Simply download and complete the Direct Debit Form and return it by fax or mail to:

6. Other payments
If you receive regular payments such as dividends or rent, you can arrange to have them credited into your Everyday Transaction Account.
There are a number of ways you can withdraw money from your Everyday Transaction Account:
Receive free access to ME ATMs and our preferred ATM network of Westpac, St.George, BankSA and Bank of Melbourne ATMs. Open your ME Everyday Transaction Account from 31 July 2015 and receive a refund on fees incurred at all other ATMs in Australia within 30 days of the transaction.
Your buck Debit MasterCard can be used at any retailer displaying the EFTPOS symbol. This enables you to pay for goods and services using your debit card instead of cash. Many retailers also provide a cash withdrawal service at the time of purchase.
Just like withdrawing cash at an ATM, you can choose from 'SAV' (Savings) or 'CRE' (Credit). Credit gives you the added bonus of MasterCard's security features such as SecureCodeTM at participating merchants.
You can also withdraw cash using your card and PIN at any Bank@Post outlet.
Please note that a $2,000 limit per day, per card, applies to withdrawals made using a debit card. Also, retailers and other financial institutions may impose additional restrictions or transaction limits.
4. Online Banking
You can use ME Online Banking to transfer funds from your Everyday Transaction Account to other selected ME accounts or third party accounts (held at any Australian Financial Institution). An initial limit of $2,000 applies per customer per day, but this can be increased to any amount up to $20,000.
You can use BPAY via Online Banking to pay your bills from your Everyday Transaction Account. BPAY is registered to BPAY Pty Ltd ABN 67 079 137 518.
6. Personal Cheque
You can write a cheque if you have an optional cheque book. If you would like to set one up, please call us. Please note, cheque books cannot be issued to a person under the age of 18 years.
7. Bank Cheque
If you need a bank cheque, all you need to do is ask. There’s no need to go anywhere: just call us, and we’ll draw up a cheque and express post it to you. If it’s an emergency, let us know – in most areas, for an additional fee we can send it out by courier.

The Everyday Transaction Account automatically comes with a buck Debit MasterCard. You can choose the colour of your card, from Avocado Green, Pineapple Yellow, Lobster Red or Shark Blue-Grey.
A buck Debit MasterCard is just like a credit card, but it uses your own funds from your Everyday Transaction Account. You can use it anywhere MasterCard is accepted - just press 'Credit' when using the 'terminal' - and you are protected from unauthorised transactions at more than 30 million locations worldwide. Tap & go is like having the exact change wherever you go. Just 'tap' your card on the contactless reader. There's no signing your name or entering a PIN for purchases of $100 or less.
You can’t - when making a purchase, you can only withdraw cash by swiping or inserting your card into an EFTPOS machine, choosing ‘Savings’ and entering your PIN.

No, this account is for personal use only.
Yes, you can view your account details, transfer money and make payments using ME Online Banking. If you are not already registered for Online Banking, simply call us on 13 15 63 to register. If you already have access to ME Online Banking, you can use your Customer ID and Access Code to log in and access your account.
No, the account does not earn interest. However, you can link your Everyday Transaction Account to our Online Savings Account, which is an account designed to earn high interest and provide easy access to your money.
No. As the account does not earn interest, we do not require your Tax File Number (TFN). However, if you apply to open an ME Online Savings Account then you will need to provide your TFN. We are only authorised to use your TFN for lawful purposes.
Statements are issued quarterly at the end of March, June, September and December.
You can put a temporary block on your card using internet banking – that way, if you find your card later, you can just reactivate it.
You can also use internet banking to completely cancel any of your ME cards and order replacement cards.

There is no charge for replacing your card if it's lost, stolen or damaged. If however, you request that your replacement card be sent to you by courier or change your card colour, a fee is required. Please refer to the Fees & Charges guide for more information.
For improved security, your buck Debit MasterCard features a microchip. This encryption chip technology helps prevent fraudulent use and authenticates your point-of-sale purchases or ATM transactions.
You can always check your recent transactions online – it’s a good idea to do this regularly, just to be sure.
